Job Summary
The Palms at Sebring, a premier senior living community, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team in Sebring, Florida. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of our beautiful community, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all maintenance activities, including repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to buildings, grounds, and equipment
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of our facilities and reduce costly repairs
- Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks
- Coordinate and manage vendors and contractors for specialized services and repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and repair projects
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service to our residents
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
