Overview

Baylor Athletics is seeking a motivated, elite worker to be our Associate Director of Strategic and Digital Marketing. This individual will oversee marketing efforts for Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball. This role will assist with community engagement efforts to increase Baylor Athletics partnerships with the greater Waco area, including establishing relationships with youth teams, churches, local school districts, and more. This role will spearhead email marketing for Baylor-hosted concerts and events, a weekly revenue-generating email series known as SicEMail, and the marketing of game day experiences. Ultimately, the goal of this position is to increase attendance, revenue, and community relationships for their assigned sports. This is a digitally-focused role centered around mass fan emails, advertising, surveys, and community activations.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute marketing plans for assigned sports: Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball
  • Oversee emails, digital advertising, traditional advertising, and community engagement for assigned sports
  • Engage with the greater Waco area to promote relationships with community partners to increase attendance and support
  • Collaborate with the athletics ticket office to drive attendance and revenue
  • Write and send the weekly revenue-generating email series SicEMail
  • Collaborate with the Bear Foundation on marketing for concerts and events hosted by Baylor University
  • Oversee the execution of game day experiences during football game days
  • Conduct surveys to gather fan and student feedback and apply insights on a game-to-game basis
  • Track attendance and revenue performance and continuously seek to grow the audience
  • Coordinate with staff executing game day experiences to maximize revenue
  • Maintain knowledge of and adherence to NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and institutional rules; report any potential infractions to Athletics Compliance
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors; perform all duties to support Baylor’s mission
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Two years of athletics marketing experience with strong email and advertising experience
  • Proficiency in Eloqua emails, digital and traditional advertising, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • A Master’s degree is preferred
  • Additional education or experience will not be considered in lieu of one another
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
