Schedule: Day Shift Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 Requirements: Associate degree required PT Assistant License required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred Roles & Responsibilities: Partner with residents and other care providers to deliver physical therapy services to optimize residents' functional abilities and independence. Implement therapeutic procedures under the supervision of a licensed therapist, adhering to established care protocols and therapeutic plans. Adjust treatment plans as necessary based on resident progress and feedback, and maintain open communication with the evaluating therapist. Monitor treatment efficacy and document all interactions and educational efforts with residents and caregivers according to departmental procedures. Recommend assistive devices and provide instructions for their use, ensuring that residents and caregivers are educated appropriately. Participate in departmental team meetings and contribute to the development of new programs and services in rehabilitation. Compliance / Notes: Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other reimbursement regulations. Maintain required licenses, certifications, and competencies, completing annual compliance courses on time.
