About the Role
The Company is in search of a Director of Finance to take on a pivotal role as the senior financial leader for Neurology and Neurosurgery within a newly established Neurosciences Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as the primary financial advisor to executive leadership and department heads, leading financial integration efforts, and developing long-term financial models and forecasts for strategic initiatives. This role also involves overseeing annual operating and capital budgeting, managing full-scope accounting operations, and administering complex funding sources. The Director of Finance will be a key partner in optimizing billing, coding, and collections, and will drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
Applicants for the Director of Finance position at the company should have a minimum of 7-10 years' of experience in finance, accounting, or operations within an Academic Medical Center, with a preference for those holding a CPA or master's degree in a related field. The role requires proven leadership experience in complex, matrixed organizations, strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and healthcare revenue cycle, and the ability to synthesize complex financial data into executive-level insights. Experience in leading clinical or business integrations, as well as hands-on experience with financial systems such as Workday and Strata, is essential. A background in physician compensation models, clinical endowments, and faculty financial planning is also a key qualification for this position.
