The Director will play a critical role in shaping and advancing the organization’s long term strategic vision by defining priorities, aligning investments, and driving operational efficiency across a complex, matrixed environment. Equal parts strategist and executor, this role blends strategy development, initiative leadership, and investment effectiveness to improve core operational processes and ensure resources are directed toward the highest impact opportunities. The ideal candidate brings a structured, analytical approach to ambiguous challenges, connects insights across teams and functions, and translates strategy into actionable plans. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence executive decision making, improve how we allocate and measure investments, and shape how the organization communicates and connects with key audiences.
This is an ideal opportunity for a former management consultant, strategist, or transformation leader who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is motivated by driving clarity, alignment, and measurable results— all within a mission driven healthcare environment.This is a full time day shift position working 4 days at our Corporate Office in mid-town Manhattan, and the ability for 1 day remote.**Preferred Criteria*** Background in internal consulting, strategy & transformation, or enterprise planning functions, particularly in large, complex, or regulated organizations* 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in management consulting* Experience modernizing investment and performance management approaches, such as portfolio based planning, scenario modeling, or outcome based measurement* Exposure to digital, data, or AI enabled workflow transformation, including evaluating how emerging technologies can improve decision making, speed, and effectiveness* Strong executive storytelling capability, including development of concise, decision ready narratives for C suite or Board level audiences* Experience working in mission driven, healthcare, or highly regulated environments, balancing innovation with risk management and compliance**Required Criteria*** Bachelor’s degree* Proven ability to lead complex transformation or optimization efforts end to end, from strategic diagnosis through implementation, change management, and measurable results —ideally across multiple functions* Strong track record of building operating models, governance structures, or prioritization frameworks that improve clarity, accountability, and return on investment in matrixed organizations* Advanced analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to integrate performance data, market insights, financial inputs, and organizational context into clear strategic recommendations* Ability to lead through influence at scale, aligning senior stakeholders with divergent priorities and driving action without direct authority* Comfort navigating organizational and cultural change, including redesigning processes, ways of working, and decision rights in evolving environmentsJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
