Overview
Entry-level position servicing aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and businesses. Requires basic knowledge of hand tools and assembly. Heavy lifting and physical demands are involved. This is a part-time role with variable hours.

Working hours Hours will vary from month to month but will average around 8–10 hours every 2 weeks. Servicing occurs bi-weekly before or after business hours.
Example schedule (subject to change):
Monday 2–7 PM Tuesday 11 AM–7 PM Wednesday 11 AM–7 PM Thursday 11 AM–7 PM Friday 11 AM–5 PM Saturday 10 AM–2 PM Sunday — Closed
Travel and coverage Travel within a 150 mile radius of San Antonio, TX will be required. Currently no accounts that far. Servicing 3 large aquariums and an aviary in the San Antonio area (Leon Valley/Alamo Heights). Mileage reimbursement is paid while driving; hourly wage is not paid during driving. Cities will include San Antonio with potential to add if accounts are added.
Work environment Due to work performed in long-term care homes, masking/goggles may be required. Storing 50 lb bags of bedding and seed for one aviary, along with 3–4 27-gallon totes of supplies, will be required.

Respond to calls, emails, faxes to take care of customer needs
Able to make an efficient work schedule
Manage service cycle for customer base
Qualifications
Experience in fish keeping and/or bird keeping preferred
Great attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to continually adjust priorities to match the business need
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and good attendance
Ability to communicate and contribute in a team-oriented environment
Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and to read and write in English
Preference given to candidates with mechanical aptitude
Willingness to be flexible with schedule and job responsibilities
Able to travel within service area radius
Heavy lifting and maneuvering is required
Flexibility is a must
High school education is preferred
Driver’s license required
