Our client, a well-established manufacturer of specialty building materials supporting commercial and industrial construction, is seeking a
Field Service Representative
to provide technical support, installation oversight, and quality assurance across active job sites.
This role works directly with contractors, architects, engineers, and building owners to ensure proper installation, troubleshoot field issues, and support successful project execution.
This is a
high‑travel position (70–80%) , primarily supporting projects throughout the Mid‑Atlantic and surrounding regions.
Responsibilities:
Provide on‑site technical support for commercial construction projects involving specialty building materials (e.g., roofing systems, waterproofing, membranes, or related products)
Conduct site visits during active installations to ensure compliance with specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and quality standards
Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scope documents to validate proper installation practices
Identify installation issues in the field and recommend corrective actions in real time
Perform final inspections to confirm installations meet technical and warranty requirements
Train contractors and field teams on proper installation methods and product applications
Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges
Document site activity, inspection results, and project updates using internal systems and reporting tools
Support warranty claim investigations and coordinate corrective actions as needed
Partner with internal sales and technical teams to support project execution and customer satisfaction
Follow all safety protocols, compliance standards, and company procedures
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
5+ years of experience in construction, field service, or a related technical role within commercial construction environments
Ability to read and interpret
construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
Working knowledge of
construction practices, materials, and job site safety standards
Experience performing
field inspections, quality control, or installation oversight
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve field issues
Proficiency with basic computer tools (Microsoft Office, email, reporting systems)
Ability to travel
70–80%
to job sites (multi‑day travel required)
