Managing Producer, Content Lab (Creative and Innovative Content)
We are seeking a Managing Producer to join our Content Lab team to develop creative and innovative sports content. The role focuses on entertainment, innovation, and experimental productions, including GenAI work. Responsibilities include ideating, producing, and managing projects that blend creative and emerging technologies. Collaboration across ESPN Content and The Walt Disney Company is essential.
Essential Responsibilities
AI Trends, Analysis, Use and Education:
Drive AI use in our creative content space, stay informed on emerging technologies, and commit to continuous learning and teaching.
Lead Creative & Innovative Production Projects:
Oversee end‑to‑end execution, collaborate with partners, and take a hands‑on role in content creation.
Concept Development:
Create compelling visual pitch concepts for new franchises and presentations.
Vision Communication:
Articulate creative visions to teams and stakeholders.
Production Management:
Manage production from pitch to delivery, suggest best use strategy for projects.
Relationship Management:
Foster relationships across internal departments, external vendors, and technology teams.
Asset Creation and Direction:
Guide the development of creative assets and support simultaneous projects.
Resource Acquisition:
Secure necessary assets and approvals from stakeholders.
Schedule and Budget Management:
Work with the Production Coordinator and Content Lab team to deliver on time and within budget.
Qualifications
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 6 years in creative and innovative content.
Passion for Emerging Technologies:
Technical curiosity, active following of AI research, fluency in GenAI workflows, and experience with AI, AR, and XR.
Technical Expertise:
Fluency in Adobe suite, media workflow, and cloud‑based formats.
Pitch Big Ideas:
Strong communication and ability to sell new ideas.
Storytelling Mastery:
Exceptional ability to create engaging narratives.
Project Management Skills:
Expertise in production management, collaboration, and presentation.
Personnel Management Skills:
Ability to mentor junior producers and teams.

Compensation The hiring range for this position in Bristol, CT is $115,500 to $154,800 per year. Base pay will consider internal equity and may vary with geographic location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses, long‑term incentive units, and benefits such as medical, financial, and other advantages may also be offered.
