* Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery capabilities.* Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the organization.* Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues or disputes, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.* Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and specifications.* Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and promptly.* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and contractual terms.* Conduct cost and price analysis to evaluate supplier proposals and determine the most cost-effective purchasing options.* Identify opportunities for cost savings and negotiate pricing to achieve favorable terms.* Monitor market trends and fluctuations to assess price impact and make informed purchasing decisions.* Work closely with inventory control and demand planning teams to ensure optimal stock levels.* Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to track delivery schedules, expedite orders when necessary, and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.* Maintain accurate inventory records and update relevant stakeholders on stock availability.* Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance with legal, quality, and performance requirements.* Monitor contract renewals, expiration dates, and terms to manage supplier relationships proactively.* Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to resolve contract-related issues and disputes.* Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance.* Conduct regular performance reviews and supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and service standards.* Collaborate with suppliers to address any performance gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives.* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)* Experience with NetSuite* Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers.* Attention to detail and accuracy in managing purchase orders and contracts.* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.* Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to purchasing and contracts.* High school diploma or equivalent required.* Proven work experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role (3+ years).* Sound knowledge of procurement principles, processes, and best practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr
