The Portfolio Coordinator for Carbon Markets plays a crucial role in the Impact Finance and Markets division at The Nature Conservancy. This position focuses on building and maintaining a global portfolio of nature-based carbon projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to enhance workflows for the Global Carbon Markets team and the NCS Accelerator program. Key focus areas include portfolio system operations, implementing tools and KPIs, donor reporting, proposal writing, and supporting on-the-ground carbon projects. Working closely with NCS Accelerator Operations, Program Management, Technical, and Fundraising staff, the Portfolio Coordinator advances the portfolio’s visibility and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include managing project-level data, updating dashboards, contributing to donor reporting, and ensuring the accurate flow of information between teams and stakeholders. The candidate will be involved in essential project functions such as coordinating in-person workshops, developing workplans, and ensuring the timely delivery of project milestones and reports. They must be adept at balancing multiple workstreams, organizing teams, and maintaining a mindset of continuous improvement while supporting the redesign and implementation of project tracking tools. Responsibilities
Maintain the portfolio system and design enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders. Ensure accuracy and timely updates of project-level data across tools and dashboards. Support project planning by helping teams clarify roles and deliverables. Provide coordination for carbon projects, tracking milestones and decisions. Coordinate activities, support meeting scheduling, and plan workshops. Serve as a liaison between the Global Carbon Markets team and project leads. Contribute to donor reporting and proposal development for carbon projects. Support continuous improvement of project tracking and reporting processes. Manage multiple workstreams while ensuring high standards of data quality. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination. Experience in generating reports and data analysis. Experience managing multiple projects and improving business processes. Familiarity with current technology in relevant fields. Experience working with cross-functional teams. Benefits
