Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading a team of Account Managers in developing sales, profits, and relationships with Commercial clients. This position will be working with the Branch Manager to fully realize the sales potential in HVAC and Building Automation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures the attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Ensure that Account Managers meet or exceed activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals, and closes.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the Account Managers.
  • Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
  • Set examples for Account Managers in personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
  • Mentor and coach the team to build motivation and selling skills.
  • Maintain contact with key clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
  • Initiate and coordinate the development of an action plan to penetrate new markets.
  • Conduct one-on-one reviews with Account Managers to build more effective communications, understand training and development needs, and provide insight for improving sales and activity performance.
  • Prepare sales forecast and activity reports for management.
  • Provide and maintain accurate records of pricing, sales, activity reports, and proposals submitted by Account Managers.
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations, RFP responses, and monthly sales meetings.
  • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Prepare and conduct annual professional sales development training and prepare coaching and action plans.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in business administration or related field or equivalent experience required; B.A./B.S. desired.
  • 7+ years of sales experience required.
  • Good time management, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, Dynamics, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $170,000 - $190,000 per year
