Paralegal Specialist (Vacancy#:VAR003314)

The incumbent will serve as a Paralegal Specialist in the Office of General Counsel (OGC) and the Office Policy and International Affairs (PIA) of the United States Copyright Office, reporting to a Supervisory Attorney. Using a working knowledge of copyright law, civil procedure, and related federal statutes and regulations, the incumbent performs legal research and analysis; collects, analyzes, and prepares documents for disclosure in response to litigation or Freedom of Information Act requests; drafts documents and materials; monitors dockets and filings; plans and assists in the running of certain public events; and maintains legal files.
