JOB DESCRIPTION: TECHNICAL DESIGNER, PALM BEACH
Coniglio Palm Beach, a luxury resort wear brand, seeking a detail-oriented Technical Designer to join our in-house team at Coniglio Palm Beach in Palm Beach, Florida. The Technical Designer will play a key role in bridging the gap between design and production, ensuring that all garments are executed to the highest standards of quality and fit. This position requires a deep understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, pattern making, and technical specifications.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the design team to translate design concepts into technical specifications and patterns.
Develop and finalize technical flats, tech packs, and garment measurements for production.
Collaborate closely with overseas vendors to ensure seamless and accurate execution from proto samples to showroom samples, and from pre-production fit samples through to TOP.
Conduct fit sessions with the founder, analyzing samples and executing fit corrections to ensure optimal fit, balance and garment integrity.
Create and manage detailed documentation for garment construction and fabric requirements.
Troubleshoot production issues, providing technical solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with overseas factories and suppliers to ensure proper execution of technical details.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and materials to ensure designs remain innovative and functional.
Review and measure sample specs to ensure accuracy and ensure all POM’s are correct per standards.
Receive and organize incoming samples, ensuring all garments are steamed and prepared for fittings.
Develop and enforce fit measurement standards across all styles to ensure consistent sizing and fit integrity throughout the collection.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field.
Proven experience in a technical design role within the fashion industry (3–5 years).
Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and garment fitting.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
Experience with 3D design software (e.g., Clo3D, TUKAcad).
Knowledge of pattern drafting or garment production processes.
