As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST at the GS-0201-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as an expert advisor to the Joint Staff which includes a variety of occupations and high level officials, both military and civilian. Analyzes a range of operational and guidance questions and issues. Assists top management in the identification, documentation, and implementation of manpower reduction initiatives, such as buyout and early retirement programs. Participates in ad hoc conferences, advisory panels and other group forums for the purpose of providing advice on Joint Staff restructuring, expansion, or downsizing. Provides expert advisory services and assistance to structure new positions and organizational units. Provides expert personnel staffing and recruitment services to management with options and recommendations for effective program operations. Serves the Joint Staff in providing management advisory services on a variety of management employee relations functions
