Description Diversified Systems is searching for an experienced Lead Product Specialist to serve as the technical expert and operational leader for a COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) product portfolio. This critical role bridges the business operations and the Office of Information Technology (Client), ensuring commerce applications run efficiently across on-premises and cloud environments. You will be the primary technical authority for building, deploying, and managing mission‑critical solutions while collaborating with Client's Server, Storage, Networking, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
Responsibilities
COTS Product Lifecycle Management
Own the complete COTS product lifecycle from evaluation through deployment and operational support.
Design and execute deployments across Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure and AWS platforms.
Configure Tomcat and IIS middleware and implement SAML authentication solutions.
Manage OPSWAT MetaDefender for advanced threat prevention and data sanitization.
Develop automation scripts and standardized deployment procedures.
Vendor Collaboration & Partnership
Guide and oversee vendor relationships for all COTS products, ensuring alignment with Department objectives and technical standards from an operational perspective.
Coordinate vendor support escalations and manage service‑level agreement compliance.
Direct vendor resources during implementations, upgrades, and critical incidents.
Ensure effective knowledge transfer from vendors to internal team members.
Cross‑Team Collaboration with Client [KEYRESPONSIBILITY - SERVE AS LIAISON TO DAS/Client]
Partner with the DAS Server team to support capacity planning and infrastructure provisioning.
Coordinate with the DAS Storage team to support SAN and NAS allocation and backup strategies.
Define networking requirements, firewall rules, and web application firewall policies in collaboration with security teams.
Manage F5 load balancer configurations and TLS and SSL certificate lifecycles.
Work with the security team to define and enforce OPSWAT MetaDefender policies for file sanitization and malware prevention.
Participate in change advisory boards and enterprise architecture decision processes.
Serve as the Department's primary operational and technical liaison to all Client teams.
Represent Department interests in enterprise technology decisions and roadmap planning initiatives.
Bridge communication gaps between business stakeholders and Client technical teams.
Facilitate bi‑directional knowledge sharing and establish collaborative workflows.
Champion Department requirements in client governance forums and architecture reviews.
Provide Tier III support and lead root cause analysis for production incidents.
Monitor system health, performance metrics, and capacity trends to ensure platform stability.
Maintain 24/7 operational readiness through on‑call rotation and incident response participation.
Manage OPSWAT MetaDefender operations including scanning engines and policy updates.
Coordinate patch management and platform upgrades while minimizing business disruption.
Develop and maintain comprehensive operational runbooks and disaster recovery procedures.
Configure and maintain OPSWAT MetaDefender for multi‑scanning and content disarm and reconstruction.
Implement file upload security policies and quarantine procedures.
Monitor threat detection logs and coordinate incident response efforts with security teams.
Ensure secure file transfers and proper data sanitization for commerce transactions.
Manage integrations between OPSWAT MetaDefender and commerce applications.
Serve as the technical subject matter expert for enterprise COTS implementations.
Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for client teams.
Document system architectures, data flows, network topologies, and integration points.
Design high‑availability and disaster recovery infrastructure solutions.
Ensure compliance with state and federal security standards and policies.
Mentor junior and mid‑level IT staff in technical skills and best practices.
Develop and deliver training and knowledge transfer programs for COTS products and enterprise technologies.
Create and maintain knowledge repositories and enforce technical documentation standards.
Lead technical brown‑bag sessions and knowledge‑sharing forums.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Provide technical growth paths and guidance for team members.

9 years expert‑level experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory management. Required.
