Job Summary
This is a one-year post doctoral appointment for recent PhD graduates, renewable for one additional year. It is intended for an individual interested in health professions/pre‑medical education or in pursuing medical school education. The position will include teaching in collaboration with an experienced mentor as well as academic advising and coordinating between the College of Health Professions and Upstate Admissions.
Responsibilities Include
Assist Clinical Laboratory Science faculty with teaching courses in fall and spring.
Assist the Department Chair and Program Director in advising Medical Scholars and Med Prep students, including tracking student progress through the program.
Participate in mock medical school interviews.
Interview and serve on admissions committees for Med Preps and Medical Scholar programs.
Participate in data collection (and potential publication) for program graduates.
Minimum Qualifications PhD (or expected completion before September 2026)
Preferred Qualifications Teaching experience
Work Days Monday through Friday
