
Corporate Communications Writer - Onsite

Position Purpose
We have an opening for the position of Senior Corporate Communications Writer at CGS Administrators, LLC, a subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. In this role, you will develop a variety of internal and external communications materials that support the company and its subsidiaries. You will collaborate with business partners, colleagues, and customers to identify documentation needs, analyze project requirements, conduct research, and gather information to produce clear, accurate, and technically sound content.

Location: Full‑time (40‑hour/week) Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑4:30 PM. The position is located at 26 Century Blvd, Suite ST610, Nashville, TN 37214.
What You’ll Do
Plan, design, research, write, and edit a range of internal/external communications materials, including user guides, ISO and other standard format procedure manuals, responses to RFI/RFPs, white papers, reports, presentations, etc.; edit copy, proof design, and assist with design direction; coordinate printing and distribution.
Organize, develop, compose, and prepare clear, concise written text, graphics, and charts/diagrams; coordinate layout and material organization; deliver final product that meets all policy standards and internal/external requirements.
Work with business partners, colleagues, customers, etc., to identify business needs; analyze project requirements to determine document types; partner with and interview subject‑matter experts (SMEs) in technical, operational, and support areas to collect, collect, interpret information, and compose technical content; research and identify reference sources; ensure guideline compliance for logos and brand usage.
Develop documentation project plans and timelines; track projects; maintain a high level of customer service; inform staff and management of project status.
Maintain best‑practice documentation for internal/external use; maintain the corporate history knowledge base; generate routine material for executive and board meetings; prepare monthly/weekly reports for management regarding all plan development activities.
To Qualify For This Position, You’ll Need
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Required Work Experience: 4 years of communication experience, including business technical writing and various writing style standards.
Skills and Abilities: Collaboration with stakeholders; coordination of production; design of communications materials; project plan development; presentation of concepts to clients; writing of communication content.
We Prefer That You Have
Portfolio of writing samples.
Proficiency in AP Style, Plain Language, and/or 508 accessibility.
Experience writing business proposals/RFPs.
Familiarity with graphic design.
