Channel Partners is seeking a Global PR & Events Specialist to join the Global PR team, based in Chicago. This role supports the planning and execution of PR and global experiential events, with a strong focus on research, logistics, and operational support. You’ll work closely with the Motorola (client) PR team and cross‑functional partners to support global product launches, trade shows, and internal events. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and eager to grow within global events, external comms and experiential marketing.
This full‑time, hybrid role requires on‑site at our client’s Chicago office and will involve international travel.
Minimum Pay
USD $45,000.00 / Yr.
Maximum Pay
USD $50,000.00 / Yr.

What You'll Do
Event Research & Logistics Support
Research, source, and support the booking of venues for global events, including product launches, trade shows, and internal meetings
Research, source, book, and manage hotel room blocks for global staff and leadership, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Support site research and preparation for venue visits and site checks
Assist with event logistics planning, including schedules, transportation coordination, and on‑site needs
Trade Shows & Lenovo Collaboration
Collaborate with Lenovo events teams to support Motorola’s presence at global trade shows
Assist with planning and execution logistics tied to shared Lenovo/Motorola trade show environments
Support coordination across teams to ensure Motorola requirements are reflected within master trade show plans
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal partners across Brand, Social Media, and Product Marketing to support PR and event needs
Support alignment with Brand to ensure event elements follow Motorola brand guidelines
Assist senior team members with day‑to‑day coordination and execution tasks
Pre, During & Post‑Event Support
Order, prepare and ship products for PR events and tradeshows
Support on‑site event execution, including registration, staff coordination, and logistics
Assist with post‑event recaps by collecting feedback, notes, and learnings from internal teams
Finance & Budget Support
Assist with tracking spend against budget throughout the event lifecyclePartner closely with Finance, Procurement and external agencies to ensure accurate invoicing, timely payments and compliance with internal policies
Monitor contracts, purchase orders, and expense approvals, ensuring financial accuracy and audit readiness.
What You'll Bring
Experience and Education:
College Degree
2 years of experience in events, marketing, communications, or a related field
Experience supporting event logistics, hotel bookings, or venue research is strongly preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Comfort working with spreadsheets, timelines, and detailed planning documents
Interest in global events and experiential marketing
Skills and Attributes:
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and reliable
A strong team player who enjoys collaborating across teams
Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Curious, proactive, and eager to learn about global events and experiential marketing
Open to travel up to 20% of the time
