The Director, Transportation & Facilities, PTx is responsible for the strategic leadership and governance of PTx’s global transportation network and regional distribution centers in EME and South America, ensuring cost-efficient, reliable product movement across international markets. This role defines transport strategy, manages global freight partnerships, and oversees distribution center performance outside North America. In addition, the role serves as the single point of contact for PTx on all facilities matters within non‑supply chain owned buildings (e.g., Offices, R&D, and commercial locations), coordinating closely with the AGCO Global Facilities function to ensure alignment on infrastructure strategy, compliance, and operational support.

Your Impact

Provide strategic and operational oversight of PTx distribution centers in EME and South America, ensuring service performance, cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, and alignment with global planning objectives (NA DC excluded as PTx-owned site).

Define global freight strategy across all modes (road, sea, air) including carrier selection, contract governance, network optimization, and risk mitigation.

Develop transportation risk mitigation strategies including alternative routing, geopolitical contingency planning, and carrier diversification.

Budget & Cost Control:

Manage the total logistics P&L, implementing cost‑reduction initiatives while maintaining high service levels.

Inventory Control:

Maintain oversight of finished goods inventory across various distribution centers to ensure stock accuracy and optimal turnover.

Compliance & Security:

Ensure all shipments comply with international trade laws, Incoterms, and safety regulations for transport.

Digital Transformation:

Drive the adoption of advanced Logistics technologies, such as Transport Management Systems (TMS) and real‑time tracking platforms.

Team Leadership:

Mentor and develop a multi‑functional team across transport planning, warehousing, and logistics administration.

Cross‑Functional Alignment:

Collaborate closely with Sales and Production Planning to align shipping capacities with customer demand and factory output.

Logistics Network Design:

Develop and implement a global distribution strategy that optimizes warehouse locations, transport routes, and hub structures.

Ensure service level performance, cost transparency, and compliance alignment for all non‑supply chain owned PTx facilities.

Partner with AGCO Global Facilities leadership to coordinate infrastructure investments, lease management, safety compliance, and facility service levels.

Represent PTx in enterprise‑level facilities planning and footprint optimization discussions.

Your Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration

10+ years in logistics, preference for experience with technology industry

Proven track record of managing large, diverse teams across transport and warehousing

Advanced proficiency in SAP (LE, WM, EWM modules) and Transport Management Systems (TMS)

Experience with supply chain modeling tools to optimize warehouse and distribution routes

Expert understanding of Incoterms 2020 and export controls

Ability to transform complex shipment data into actionable cost‑saving insights

Success in negotiating multi‑million Euro global freight and warehousing tenders

Experience implementing Lean principles (e.g., Milk‑runs, Kanban) in a distribution setting
