A Day in the Life Join Medtronic as an Affera Mapping Specialist and be at the forefront of transforming lives through advanced medical technology. In this dynamic role you’ll work alongside a collaborative team of clinicians, engineers, physicians, and innovators to execute mapping solutions for cardiac and other electrophysiological systems. By blending technical expertise with a passion for improving patient outcomes, you’ll have the opportunity to impact global healthcare directly.
While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical and technical support and training to physicians and staff on the EP mapping and navigation system and all CAS products.
Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to CAS products and related procedures.
Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures.
Understand and support national, regional, and territory sales objectives to achieve or exceed sales goals within all CAS products.
Develop and cultivate customer relationships resulting in incremental business.
Work in partnership with Account Manager, Regional Manager and Area Directors to identify potential sales opportunities.
Collaborate and strategize with local sales team to conduct customer training for mapping and other CA Solutions products.
Collaborate and communicate with the sales and clinical teams in the region.
Serve as an effective Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic CAS products, service and support.
Serve as a regional champion to share experience and influence others to be proficient in the mapping technology.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma PLUS a minimum of 8 years of work experience in healthcare within an EP, Cath Lab setting or sales in cardiac field.
OR Associate degree PLUS a minimum of 6 years of work experience in healthcare within an EP, Cath Lab setting or sales in cardiac field.
OR Bachelor degree PLUS a minimum of 4 years of work experience in healthcare within an EP, Cath Lab setting or sales in cardiac field.
Preferred Qualifications
B.A./B.S. degree in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, or technical discipline with minimum of four years work experience in cardiac field, hospital/clinic or sales.
Proven track record with technical training assignments.
Experience in the cardiac catheter ablation field, EP lab, in a hospital/clinic or EP medical sales providing technical/clinical support.
Additional Job Requirements
Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
Clinical Specialists are required to be within their assigned territory each day to be available for unscheduled needs.
Clinical Specialists will on occasion be required to travel outside of their assigned territory and possibly overnight.
Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy.
Ability to freely move throughout the facility, use a phone, keyboard and mouse, and be visually able to interact with personal computers.
Must be able to stand/sit/walk for 8 hours a day.
Must drive approximately 25–50% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel.

Benefits & Compensation Salary range for U.S. locations (excluding Puerto Rico and California): $100,000–$115,000 (USD).
