Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Benefits Specialist to join our team in East Fort Myers, FL. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the Human Resources team by managing and administering employee benefits programs while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective coordination with external partners.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement, etc.).
Oversee enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS and vendor systems.
Act as primary point of contact with benefits broker and insurance carriers.
Assist in evaluating plan performance and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.
Review and audit monthly benefits invoices for accuracy and discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, ERISA).
Collaborate with management to address HR-related issues and provide guidance.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR operations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated experience auditing invoices and reconciling data.
Experience working with benefits brokers and third-party administrators.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
