Overview West Monroe is seeking a Presales Senior Solution Architect to support large-scale, enterprise technology transformation projects delivered in partnership with leading system integrators (SIs).
This role operates at the intersection of solution architecture, sales, and enterprise transformation strategy, helping clients define and shape complex initiatives across cloud, enterprise applications, data, and integration platforms.
Role Summary As a Presales Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping and closing complex technology deals, working alongside client stakeholders, internal teams, and SI partners to design scalable, secure, and commercially viable solutions.
You will lead end-to-end solution definition, contribute to estimation and pricing, and define delivery models and SOW scope for large, multi-year transformation programs. Following deal close, you will remain engaged in a governance and advisory capacity to ensure alignment between solution design and delivery execution.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with sales and client teams to shape and scope large enterprise transformation opportunities
Collaborate with system integrators to define solution architecture, delivery approach, and execution strategy
Lead development of solution estimates, pricing inputs, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
Assess current-state environments across applications, cloud, data, and integration to identify risks and opportunities
Define target-state architectures aligned to business and technology objectives
Establish architectural guardrails and delivery standards for SI-led implementations
Support proposal development, including solution narratives, technical design, and risk identification
Act as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders throughout the sales cycle
Provide architecture governance and oversight during early delivery phases
Engage with onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams to validate solution feasibility and delivery models
Required Experience
Experience in a solution architecture or presales architecture role supporting enterprise technology programs
Proven experience shaping and closing complex deals in partnership with system integrators
Experience working with offshore partners and teams
Hands‑on experience developing estimates, delivery models, and SOWs for large‑scale initiatives
Strong architecture experience across multiple domains:
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, or similar)
Integration and API architectures
Data platforms and analytics ecosystems
Experience working with or alongside large SI partners (Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, Cognizant, etc.)
Experience in distributed delivery environments, including offshore and nearshore teams
Ability to evaluate trade‑offs across cost, risk, scalability, and speed
Consulting or technology services background
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP or enterprise platform transformations
Experience with Cloud migrations or modernization initiatives
Experience with M&A integrations or carveouts
Experience with SaaS or digital platform architectures
Experience with AI/ML or data‑driven solution design
Experience contributing to go‑to‑market or solution offerings
Skills & Capabilities
Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage executives and technical teams
Ability to operate in fast‑paced, ambiguous sales environments
Strong collaboration across sales, delivery, and partner teams
Commercial acumen, including understanding of pricing, margins, and delivery risk

Compensation based on pay transparency guidelines varies by office location.
Seattle or Washington, D.C. – $203,200 – $239,100 USD
Los Angeles – $212,900 – $250,500 USD
New York City or San Francisco – $222,500 – $261,900 USD
