About the Role
HDR is seeking a high‑energy Marketing Coordinator for its Northern California Transportation team. The role supports marketing communications, proposal management, and client engagement for transportation projects including highways, bridges, transit, and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Monitor client and industry websites for solicitation status.

File proposals and presentation materials upon submission.

Manage client relationship management and financial systems to inform reporting metrics and dashboards.

Maintain accurate project and resume data in business development systems.

Arrange professional photography for projects.

Support development of annual and long‑term strategic plans, including growth initiatives and investment prioritization.

Implement key growth initiatives defined in strategic plans.

Develop and execute client plans, including strategies to capture market share.

Solicit formal client feedback.

Administer the go
o‑go decision process in accordance with HDR's Matrix of Authority.

Support content marketing campaigns to strengthen brand visibility and showcase thought leadership.

Create engaging digital content that reflects HDR's brand.

Execute strategies that elevate HDR's brand and technical talent within industry associations.

Produce marketing collateral for business development efforts.

Coordinate fulfillment of conference sponsorship benefits.

Create engaging internal communications (announcements, presentations, videos, webinars).

Plan large internal meetings (in‑person or virtual).

Coordinate large internal meetings (in‑person and virtual).

Maintain inventory of branded materials used for client visits, conferences, and recruiting.

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Communications, Journalism, or related field.

3+ years of document layout and production experience.

Experience in the A/E industry is strongly desired.

Technical understanding of the proposal production process for professional services.

Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.

Graphics skills and advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign and Photoshop).

Experience in proposal planning and coordination.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

Ability to handle tight deadlines and make independent decisions.

Quick self‑starter, team‑oriented, and able to work with diverse personalities.

Willingness to travel and engage with others in person.

Commitment to being an active participant in HDR's employee‑owned culture.

Required Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign.
