Department Overview
The Events & Booking Department at The Rigby curates community-driven experiences. Focused on public events, charitable initiatives, and entertainment programming, the department ensures The Rigby remains an exciting destination for live music, fundraisers, themed events, and community gatherings. Responsibilities include event ideation, planning, logistics, partnerships, and execution, working closely with management, staff, and external organizations.
Position Summary
The Events & Booking Intern at The Rigby will develop, plan, and execute public events, focusing on charity-driven initiatives. Responsibilities include generating event ideas, coordinating logistics, securing sponsorships, supporting venue operations, and ensuring smooth event execution.
Responsibilities
Brainstorm and develop unique event concepts aligned with The Rigby’s brand and mission.
Research and implement charity-focused and community-driven events.
Plan event logistics: materials, staffing, scheduling.
Enter event details into POS system and present at manager meetings for approval.
Document and communicate plans via binder and text to staff before events.
Oversee event setup and execution, ensuring support from interns, management, and staff.
Research and secure event sponsors, partners, and collaborations.
Build relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, and artists.
Negotiate sponsorship agreements and promotional opportunities.
Develop marketing strategies for upcoming events.
Assist in social media promotion, flyer creation, and outreach.
Engage local influencers, media, and community groups to drive attendance.
Record event results, attendance, key takeaways in binder.
Collect feedback and propose continuous improvements.
Assist with venue operations and hospitality tasks as needed.
Attend manager meetings to align with The Rigby’s goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Passion for event planning and community engagement.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Research and secure event partners, sponsors, and promotional opportunities.
Experience in hospitality, bartending, or food service is a plus.
Comfortable with basic budgeting and pricing strategies.
Self‑motivated and proactive, with initiative and follow‑through.
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
Basic knowledge of marketing and social media promotion is a bonus.
