
Marketing Project Manager

Help The Persecuted is an international ministry with a mission to Rescue, Restore, and Rebuild the lives of Persecuted Christians living in places hostile to the Gospel. Indigenous Field Ministry Team members, located in many countries, enable the ministry to address the practical and spiritual needs of persecuted believers, and to share the Gospel with others. The ministry’s vision is to see the persecuted Church endure, flourish, and multiply in hostile places.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Project Manager ensures Help The Persecuted’s marketing initiatives are executed effectively and with consistency. You will take ideas, campaigns, and priorities and translate them into clear plans, timelines, and deliverables. From there, you will oversee execution through to completion across a network of staff, contractors, and vendors, helping ensure that each piece of work is aligned and moving forward.
You will play a key role in maintaining momentum across all marketing efforts. This includes keeping projects on track, bringing clarity when direction is needed, coordinating the right people at the right time, and ensuring deadlines are met.
This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and a high level of ownership. You will help create structure, provide follow-through, and ensure that projects move forward smoothly from start to finish.
Key responsibilities of the Marketing Project Manager include but are not limited to:
Project & Execution Management
Translate marketing strategies into clear project plans, timelines, and deliverables
Manage day-to-day execution across campaigns, content, direct mail, digital, and events
Ensure all projects are completed on time and aligned with strategic priorities
Proactively identify potential project risks (resource shortages, missed deadlines, scope creep, etc.) and develop mitigation plans for review by marketing leadership
Maintain a centralized view of all active marketing initiatives
Manage relationships with external partners (writers, designers, videographers, agencies, direct mail vendors, etc.)
Assign tasks, track progress, and ensure quality of deliverables
Serve as the primary point of contact for all marketing contractors
Ensure alignment across all contributors and channels
Budget & Administrative Oversight
Track marketing expenses and project budgets
Manage invoices and ensure contractors are paid accurately and on time
Coordinate with leadership on budget allocation and reporting
Prepare regular reports on project status, on-time delivery rate, and budget variance to present to the leadership team
Brand & Quality Control
Proofread final marketing materials for spelling, grammar, and factual accuracy, ensuring final files strictly adhere to brand voice and messaging guidelines
Enforce brand standards across all channels and contributors
Make light edits or adjustments to copy when needed for clarity and alignment
Escalate larger messaging or positioning questions to marketing leadership
Process & Systems Management
Build and maintain efficient workflows for marketing execution
Organize project management systems (e.g., Monday.com or similar)
Identify bottlenecks and improve processes for better efficiency and output
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with field teams to gather stories, updates, and impact reports, ensuring a consistent flow of content for marketing and donor communications
Coordinate timelines and deliverables with development, field team, events, and leadership teams
Additional Responsibilities
Assist the development team with fundraising events
Provide administrative support to the development team
Perform other tasks associated with donor engagement, as directed
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be in agreement with HTP’s Statement of Faith
5‑8 years of experience in marketing, project management, or a related field
Experience supporting a senior marketing leader (CMO or equivalent)
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
Experience working with contractors, agencies, or distributed teams
Strong organizational and operational mindset
Ability to move from strategy to execution with clarity and discipline
Strong attention to detail, especially in reviewing content and brand alignment
Familiarity with marketing channels such as email, content, social, and direct mail
Preferred Experience
Experience in nonprofit or ministry environments
Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, or ClickUp
Familiarity with marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar tools
Experience coordinating direct mail campaigns or working with print vendors
