Job Description

Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) is a world-class organization responsible for growing all payment flows between businesses and governments. The North America Hub team works closely with financial institutions and fintechs to bring payment solutions that meet the needs of growth corporates, large enterprises, multinationals, governments, public sector entities, and small businesses worldwide. The team is responsible for product development and management of a suite of products, including core products such as Fleet, Travel, Purchasing, Virtual Cards, Small Business, and new B2B payment offerings and emerging verticals such as Employee Benefits.

The Senior Director – Head of NA Small Business & Emerging Middle Market (EMM) Product plays a pivotal role in innovating and shaping Visa’s new B2B payment product offerings and market positioning. This role is responsible for developing and executing product strategies that accelerate business growth, including the development and launch of Visa’s next‑generation small business and middle market solutions designed to capture greater spend on the Visa network and other Visa money‑movement assets.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the overall small business and emerging middle market product strategy and portfolio management of the suite of products within the B2B Payments organization to create competitive advantage and drive growth for Visa.
  • Develop compelling product narratives and key value propositions that strongly position Visa B2B payment solutions in the market.
  • Collaborate with global product partners and segments team to translate customer and market needs into product solutions that deliver substantial value propositions, taking into account voice of customer feedback and market priorities.
  • Collaborate with global platform owners as well as core technology teams on the planning, prioritization and execution of the product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to create solutions around how Visa can support more efficient money moment flows and support the launching and scaling of the relevant products and solutions.
  • Ensure the product strategy and product roadmaps are aligned and well‑articulated to customers, prospects and partners, as well as internally within Visa.
  • Evangelize the value proposition and differentiation of the relevant products and solutions within the payments industry.
  • Develop and inspire a team of talented product solutioning managers focused on delivering best‑in‑class products and solutions.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and enable flawless execution.
  • Create a team culture that amplifies Visa’s Leadership Principles and champions innovative DNA across the organization.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), or PhD with 9+ years of experience.
  • MBA or Advanced Degree is highly desirable.
  • Prior product strategy and/or deep product development/management experience in small business/B2B payments and non‑card payment systems.
  • Experienced product leader with a record of accomplishment for creating and developing new product capabilities from initial concept to industry leadership.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing a product vision for successful products based on deep understanding of customer needs.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new opportunities to innovate and differentiate with tangible business results.
  • Experience managing and developing strong partnership with technology teams to influence and co‑create shared roadmaps.
  • Effective leadership and people management skills, with a focus on developing diverse, high‑performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture that is inquisitive and collaborative.
  • Excellent ability to develop and communicate strategy, and secure internal investment for products.
  • Natural collaborator, with excellent communication skills and strong executive presence.
  • Must be self‑motivated and comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and competence to influence across multiple levels and organizations including internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Information

  • Work Hours: Varies on the needs of the department.
  • Travel Requirements: 25‑30% of the time.
  • Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting; will require sitting and standing at a desk, communicating in person and by telephone, operating standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

Benefits and Compensation

Estimated salary range for this United States position is $229,000 to $400,900 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments. Salary may vary depending on job‑related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
