A leading global private investment platform is seeking a Finance Director to oversee fund accounting, investor reporting, and operational finance for its technology-focused investment strategy. This is a high-impact role within a fast-paced, performance-driven environment, offering significant exposure across fund operations, investment teams, and investor relations.

The Finance Director will serve as a key partner to senior leadership, providing oversight of financial reporting, valuation processes, fund flows, audits, and third-party administrators. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to drive process improvements in a sophisticated investment environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee quarterly NAV reporting and capital account statements for investors
  • Review financial statements, management fee calculations, carried interest allocations, and investor deliverables
  • Manage year-end audit process and coordinate with external auditors
  • Oversee third-party fund administrators across reporting and operational workflows
  • Monitor fund liquidity, capital calls, distributions, and cash management
  • Partner with deal teams and CFO on quarterly portfolio company valuation analysis and prepare materials for Valuation Committee review
  • Analyze portfolio company financials in advance of quarterly portfolio reviews
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations on presentation materials, investor communications, due diligence responses, and fundraising documentation
  • Ensure compliance with partnership agreements and analyze fund activity accordingly
  • Lead process improvements, reporting automation initiatives, and operational enhancements
  • Respond to limited partner inquiries and ad hoc reporting requests

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in private equity, investment management, or public accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of fund accounting, valuation, and investor reporting
  • Experience managing third-party administrators and audit processes
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong analytical ability and sound professional judgment
  • Effective communicator with ability to collaborate across teams and senior leadership
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, solutions-driven approach

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional designation preferred
