Help
Duties Directing, prioritizing, and coordinating event response with Command Headquarters, Components, and global NetOps partners. Duties Receives, analyzes, coordinates, monitors, and reports critical incidents across the DISA J6 enterprise impacting J6 customers. Provides ongoing optimization and problem-solving support, conducting, assisting, and reporting 24x7 Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI). Conducts functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability. Senior Battle Captain works effectively in a customer service environment to assess user needs, provide information and assistance, resolve problems, or help satisfy user expectations of standard and non-standard services. Monitors all ongoing operations and exercises involving Department of Defense personnel deployed to the area of responsibility. Provide required exceptional technical knowledge and understanding of a multitude of technologies within the J6 architectures including comprehensive knowledge of DISN transport, networking, and telecommunication principles and services. This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination. This position requires the incumbent to work an alternative or shift work schedule This position requires the incumbent to travel away from their normal duty station to other locations within the continental United States (CONUS) up to 25 percent of the time. In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements in 12 months This is a drug testing designated position. Qualifying Experience
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must possess qualifying experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as:
.Coordinating, analyzing, and monitoring functional connectivity during events AND provide information assistance to customers using technical competence to help satisfy user expectations, analyze critical incident reports impacting customers.
