Overview Jacobs seeks a Graphic Designer to be a proactive team player, excited and ready to engage on a multitude of projects in a fast-paced environment for our Buildings & Infrastructure Americas team, focusing on the design and development of proposals and supporting graphics, presentations, and positioning materials— from concept to completion.
Your work includes conceptualizing, designing, and developing graphics and other content to inform and engage the intended audience. You’ll possess design aptitude, as well as an educated understanding of design process, principles, and production techniques. This role requires proven technical skills and expertise in developing and executing creative solutions using Adobe Creative Cloud applications (including, but not limited to: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), as well as presentation software (including, but not limited to: Microsoft PowerPoint) to deliver those solutions in a variety of print and digital formats. We’ll lean on you for excellent communication skills, flexibility, and self-motivation to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities Lead strategic graphic design solutions to support the production of winning proposals, sales materials, and presentations, including but not limited to long document layouts, PowerPoint presentations, story boards, covers/dividers, marketing collateral/brochures, illustrations, interactive PDFs, ads, and digital media.
Plan, conceptualize, and design compelling and impactful graphics while collaborating with proposal team members and technical staff to strengthen messaging.
Convey complex ideas with smart graphic designs and develop concepts visually beyond bullet points.
Interpret and convert technical data and conceptual content into accessible and visually appealing information.
Understand and follow graphic design methods, tools, and Jacob’s procedures; offer suggestions to leadership to improve processes, tool(s), and best practices.
Coordinate and provide production and vendor support for submittals and interviews to instruct external vendors as needed on printing requirements.
Proof work to ensure quality control.
Must be able to coordinate and collaborate with team members in remote locations, in different time zones.

Qualifications Minimum of 4 to 10 years professional graphic design experience.
Bachelors degree in Graphic Design (OR) related discipline from a four-year (OR) Associates degree with relative professional experience in lieu of 4 year degree.
Flexibility in working hours as needed to align with peers in North America. Must have flexibility to work overtime hours and on weekends as needed, especially for deadline-driven assignments.
Knowledge of procedures and technical concepts; including design aptitude to understand what constitutes good design, and a demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge using layout, typography, graphics, and images in order to produce highly effective visual communications.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Prior Architectural/Engineering and Construction and/or Proposal and Sales experience.
Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and Microsoft PowerPoint; proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience working with additional creative, visual, interactive, and multimedia tools.
