The client are looking for a Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to join the team on a permanent basis. It is a stand‑alone role within the finance and accounting team, reporting directly into the CFO, and the successful candidate will be a key strategic partner across the business. The role is based in East Windsor (NJ) and will have hybrid working.
The client are a fast growing retail and wholesale business that are looking for a Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to drive data‑driven decision making across the E‑Commerce and wholesale sides of the business. Although a stand‑alone role, the successful candidate will sit in a finance team of 9 people and work alongside the CFO and Controller to help manage the full operations of the team. The successful candidate MUST have a prior working knowledge of a retail/CPG business and will have excellent financial modelling skills. The role is based in E. Windsor (NJ).
Description
The successful Director, Financial Planning and Analysis will:
- Lead development and maintenance of 13-week rolling cash flow forecasts
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages for executive leadership
- Develop and manage annual budget and periodic forecast updates
- Perform customer and product-level Direct Contribution Margin (DCM) analysis
- Drive cost center reporting, control, and variance analysis
- Support demand planning and production purchasing through financial analysis
- Maintain and enhance financial models to support strategic decision‑making
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve data integrity and reporting accuracy
- Support bank covenant reporting and compliance requirements
- Assist with Power BI reporting, dashboards, and data updates
- Lead and execute special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed
Profile
The successful Director, Financial Planning and Analysis will:
- MUST have prior working knowledge of FPandA from a retail or CPG business
- Ideally have worked within a company of a similar size (Revenue: $100‑150M)
- Previous working knowledge of the systems Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power BI (desirable)
- MUST have excellent Excel skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Job Offer
- $160,000 - $175,000 (slight flexibility)
