About The Company
Our client is a family office and investment firm allocating capital across a wide variety of public and private investment strategies and asset classes. The Tax Director will manage traditional tax and family office services for its family shareholders.
Responsibilities
- Review tax projections, tax packages, and returns of individuals, trusts, and partnerships
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns prepared by a third-party firm
- Oversee certain real estate matters including insurance, real estate taxes, record management, payroll, lease agreements, easements and accounting/reporting
- Liaise with internal teams and external advisors including attorneys, accountants and bankers to ensure seamless service delivery
- Coordinate and manage special projects, including GST exemption planning, aircraft matters, household employment matters and other financial analyses
- Assist with the operations of foundation and philanthropic efforts
- Monitor tax law changes and advising on potential impacts to financial and tax planning strategies, charitable giving, and estate planning
- Act as a point of contact for family members regarding financial and tax matters
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8-12 years of related family office experience
- Familiarity with the partnership pass through entity tax (PTET) and real estate taxation a plus
Salary Range
$150,000-$200,000
