Salary: $157,440 - $186,960, bonus and long-term incentive eligible
Role Summary
Join Anheuser‑Brewery’s internal Wholesaler Mergers & Acquisitions and strategy team, a high‑impact group shaping the future of beverage distribution in the U.S. Partner with senior leaders, independent wholesalers, and cross‑functional teams to execute complex transactions, drive strategic growth, and strengthen our route‑to‑market.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage M&A projects related to Anheuser‑Brewery’s owned beverage distribution operations (AB ONE) – work closely with AB ONE leadership, legal, commercial and other functional teams to negotiate transactions, obtain senior management approvals, ensure transaction closing and support integration efforts.
- Participate in the negotiation and structuring of transactions involving privately held businesses.
- Perform business valuations for prospective acquisitions and divestitures by AB.
- Prepare and review sophisticated financial analyses of ownership changes within the AB wholesaler network.
- Review wholesaler acquisition and financing documents to ensure compliance with AB Wholesaler Equity Agreement.
- Lead transition of current and future AB brands to AB’s preferred wholesaler system.
Technical / Functional Skills
- Consistent track record of demonstrating strong project management capabilities, adeptly coordinating multidimensional tasks across departments, and delivering results that exceed expectations.
- Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.
- Understanding of industry‑standard valuation methodologies for privately‑held businesses.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial modeling or forecasting.
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- Ability to develop strategic plans and clearly communicate them to senior leadership.
People Skills
- Self‑starter with a track record of leveraging networks, creativity, and resourcefulness to solve complex problems.
- Skilled at fostering effective communication with external partners and business principals.
- Experience conducting due diligence meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non‑financial colleagues and independent wholesalers.
Job Qualifications
- Familiarity with beer wholesale operations and the three‑tier system.
- Knowledge in the following areas preferred, but not required: Contract negotiation, M&A deal structures, financial concepts for an independent business, and lending structures.
- Five or more years of relevant work experience.
- 5 days in office.
