About the Role
The Head of Investor Relations will be responsible for developing and executing Ridgepost Capital’s investor relations strategy. This individual will maintain and evolve a comprehensive function that engages current and prospective analysts, current and prospective investors across the equity markets and, as appropriate, the debt markets. The candidate should bring significant financial services experience, with direct or adjacent experience in alternative or traditional asset management preferred. Expertise in the publicly-traded BDC asset class is considered additive. The search will include senior professionals from alternative asset managers and BDC platforms, publicly listed insurers with investment management arms and publicly listed investment banks across both boutique and bulge bracket firms.
This highly visible role offers an entrepreneurial opportunity to shape Ridgepost Capital’s position within the alternative asset management landscape. The selected candidate will be expected to develop and help execute a multi-year investor relations strategy that drives institutional engagement, builds retail investor awareness and supports efforts to optimize the company’s relative valuation.
The role reports to Amanda Coussens Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and will regularly interact with RPC’s executive management team. The Head of Investor Relations will also collaborate closely with the RPC finance and reporting team, the strategy and transactions team, and the global client solutions team. Another key set of stakeholder engagement will be the heads of each platform strategy. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to oversee and strategically leverage RPC’s external investor relations, public relations and digital communications advisor, Prosek, while partnering closely with the communications and investor relations teams across RPC’s underlying strategies to ensure alignment and consistency across the platform.
Core Responsibilities
Investor Engagement
Partner with the investor relations team to develop materials and prepare management for ongoing investor engagement initiatives.
- Develop institutional investor targeting analysis and establish annual KPIs
- Execute quarterly institutional outreach across conferences, non-deal roadshows, ad hoc meetings and micro-investor events
- Prepare investor conference Q&A materials and update quarterly investor presentations
- Develop and maintain a rolling 12-month investor conference calendar
- Draft fireside chat and presentation talking points for senior leadership
- Coordinate conference-specific logistics and materials for management
- Drive retail investor brand awareness through coordinated earned media and digital strategies
- Lead planning and execution of larger-scale investor events, including Investor Day, when appropriate
Quarterly Earnings
Serve as lead communications advisor to the C-suite throughout the quarterly earnings cycle.
- Act as primary public-facing contact for initial investor and analyst inquiries
- Lead development of earnings materials for both equity and fixed income audiences
- Draft and refine management team scripts in coordination with internal/external stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive Q&A materials and conduct mock preparation sessions with management
- Advise on earnings-related social media communications
- Manage drafting, review and distribution of investor press releases
- Oversee vendor coordination, including newswire, conference call and web hosting providers
- Monitor sell-side research and provide timely analysis and insights to corporate communications and management
Investment Community Strategic Communications
Lead development and distribution of investor-facing communications and select ad hoc disclosures.
- Oversee earnings announcement releases and investor conference communications
- Draft ad hoc investor communications, as required
- Develop media strategy and messaging around select announcements, including executive appointments
Competitive Intelligence and Market Monitoring
Provide capital markets insight and disclosure expertise to internal stakeholders.
- Work with strategy and FP&A teams to deliver ongoing market updates and relevant capital markets insights
- Share real-time peer intelligence with key RPC stakeholders
- Monitor regulatory developments, disclosure trends and sustainability best practices
Internal Communications
Serve as the public markets subject matter expert across the RPC platform.
- Provide concise updates on investor relations strategy and progress to various internal audiences
- Develop quarterly Board materials highlighting key activities, outcomes and objectives
- Support leadership communications to the broader platform regarding earnings results, annual IR milestones and notable investments
Investment and Transaction Communications Support
Lead investment community communications for notable investments and intra-quarter transactions.
- Work with strategy and transactions, FP&A and relevant investment strategy teams to draft transaction-related materials, including press releases, presentations, Q&A documents and employee communications
- Develop supporting media strategies and communications materials, as appropriate
- Lead management Q&A preparation sessions
- Coordinate transaction-related vendor logistics, including conference call setup and pre-recordings
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, sell-side research or advisory roles supporting public companies
- Demonstrated ability to represent RPC effectively across underlying investment strategies
- Strong financial acumen, analytical capability and written communication skills
- Proven ability to operate as a lead point of contact with senior executives and external stakeholders
- Self-directed, solutions-oriented approach with sound judgment regarding escalation
- Experience supporting or contributing to business development initiatives
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Working knowledge of financial databases such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and S&P online products
Expected annual base salary range: $300,000-$350,000
