Company Overview
Our client is a national leader of a global investment giant, the organization is a primary driver of long-term growth and innovation in the domestic market. We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join the finance leadership team at the Charlotte, NC headquarters.
What you will do
This is a hands on leadership role assisting with day to day financial analysis while managing a team. Manager will develop sophisticated financial models, analyzing key performance metrics, and partnering with cross-functional business leaders to optimize results and support high-stakes strategic initiatives.
Manager a team of 4–5 financial analysts dedicated to financial forecasting, budgeting, performance analysis, and management reporting.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex models to evaluate business performance, support capital investment decisions, and inform long-term strategic planning.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead the annual budgeting and long-range planning cycles, ensuring full alignment with corporate strategy and parent company requirements.
- Performance Analysis: Provide detailed variance, trend, and scenario analysis to highlight primary drivers of financial performance and drive accountability for results.
- Executive Reporting: Deliver concise, insightful management reports and presentations for senior leadership and global stakeholders.
- Process Optimization: Continuously enhance financial reporting tools and systems—including specialized risk management and planning software—to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Strategic Support: Perform ad hoc analysis for special projects, including M&A evaluations, cost optimization initiatives, and capital planning.
What you will need
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA, CPA, or CFA designation.
- Minimum of five (10) years of relevant FP&A or corporate finance experience.
- At least one (5) year of experience directly managing a team.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no current sponsorship available).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI (or equivalent analytics tools).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with executive-level management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
