Senior Finance Manager, Sports Marketing

Key Accountabilities
Responsible for all planning, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling of Sports Marketing financial performance.
Works closely with Sports Marketing leadership, director(s) and business partners, and cross‑functional partners in finance, accounting, and internal controls to execute on this front.
Collaborates with Sports Marketing Directors and VP on strategic projects to address business risks and opportunities and to influence the outcome.
Leads all financial aspects of NAM Sports Marketing contracts and maintains contracts in PMT (internal) database.
Proactively identifies and manages risks and opportunities, creating action plans to align SPOMA strategic initiatives with P&L requirements; provides creative solutions to minimize risks and maximize opportunities.
Owns the month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close process; establishes quality control over financial transactions and reporting related to SPOMA transactions.
Provides action‑oriented financial guidance and analysis for effective decision‑making.
Leads ROI Analysis to inform and support profitable sports marketing investments.
Contributes proactively with reports and controls improvement ideas in a fast‑paced environment.
Creates and delivers educational materials and training to business partners related to budget and forecast.
Collaborates with Global HQ on regular reporting, business follow‑ups and monthly updates.
Acts as key point person for SPOMA audit exercises.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced skills in Excel; strong proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and SAP (or other ERP software).
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence cross‑functionally and across all levels of the organization.
Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, including presenting to management, cross‑functional leaders, and non‑financial professionals.
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles.
Proven ability to improve existing processes, optimizing workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
Strong prioritization, detail orientation, and ability to accomplish multiple assignments under tight timelines.
Ability to troubleshoot, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to find solutions.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, challenging environment.
Strong familiarity with the landscape of professional and collegiate sports.
Qualifications
University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business; MBA/CPA preferred.
8–10 years of experience in business or financial analysis or planning.
Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience or training.
Solid accounting skills and experience preferred.
Advanced Excel skills required.
Familiarity with SAP and other relevant industry finance systems/analytical software is a major plus.
