
Construction Superintendent
NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company, Detroit, MI, United States
This is a traveling Construction Superintendent role responsible for leading large-scale commercial/industrial construction projects from start to finish—planning, execution, coordination, and delivery.
You’ll act as the on-site leader managing craft teams, subcontractors, schedules, safety, and budgets across multiple disciplines (civil, structural, electrical, etc.).
Based anywhere in the U.S.
70%+ travel required to project sites
Long-term, project-to-project assignment model
You would be expected to: Project Execution
Ensure work follows drawings, specs, and schedule
Field Leadership
Coordinate subcontractors and resolve on-site issues
Maintain strong communication with unions and crews
Scheduling & Controls
Support cost control and project reporting
Safety & Compliance
Enforce safety programs and corrective actions
Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards
Stakeholder Communication
Coordinate with clients, executives, vendors, and internal teams
Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
Handle fast-changing field conditions
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
8+ years supervisory experience in commercial/industrial construction
Experience with $15M+ projects
Willingness to travel extensively (70%+)
Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding of construction scheduling + cost control
Experience leading large, cross-functional field teams
Strong safety record
Ability to perform in high-pressure, fast-moving job sites
