POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is a dynamic blend of leasing, property operations, and resident engagement within an affordable housing environment. The Affordable Housing Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining occupancy, managing waitlists and recertifications, and ensuring a positive and supportive experience for residents. RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage leasing activities, including applications, waitlists, move-ins, and recertifications
Maintain compliance with affordable housing regulations, including tax credit and fair housing requirements
Support rent collection processes and maintain accurate tenant records and ledgers
Coordinate maintenance requests, inspections, and vendor services to maintain property standards
Build strong relationships with residents, providing responsive and professional support
Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and assist with audits and compliance reviews
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in leasing, property management, or affordable housing environments
Familiarity with waitlists, recertifications, or housing compliance processes
Strong organizational and time management skills
Customer‑service oriented with excellent communication skills
Experience with Yardi or similar property management systems is a plus
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position offers
$37–$40/hour
and is structured as a
temp-to-hire opportunity , with the potential for long-term employment and access to a full benefits package upon conversion, which may include medical, dental, vision, and paid time off. Medical benefits and sick pay are also offered during the temporary assignment.
