Overview We are hiring on behalf of our client, a leading innovator in the blockchain and decentralized finance (DeFi) sector, for a Growth Associate to join its expansion team. The organization is dedicated to building decentralized applications and stablecoin infrastructure that foster a more accessible, people-powered internet.
The Growth Associate will drive asset listings and expand the protocol’s footprint across new blockchain networks. Responsibilities include identifying high-quality opportunities, structuring incentive packages, and establishing new markets. The role manages the business development pipeline from end to end and represents the organization within the global DeFi ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Management: Source and qualify new asset listings for the protocol’s current and future iterations across all active and target networks
Expansion Strategy: Identify and qualify new chain deployment opportunities by evaluating ecosystem fit, Total Value Locked (TVL) potential, foundation support, and competitive dynamics
Commercial Negotiations: Lead negotiations with asset issuers and chain foundations regarding listing coordination, deployment, and incentive packages, including grants, token incentives, and co-marketing agreements
Relationship Management: Manage the business development lifecycle from initial contact through to signed agreements and handoff for execution
Ecosystem Representation: Represent the client’s growth interests at industry events, summits, and in bilateral conversations with key counterparties
Requirements
Proven Experience: Strong track record in business development or partnerships within the DeFi sector, preferably with experience on both the protocol and foundation/issuer sides
Network: Established professional network among chain foundations, asset issuers, and ecosystem funds
Technical Literacy: Solid understanding of DeFi lending mechanics, token incentive structures, and on-chain governance processes
Commercial Acumen: Ability to independently build and present clear, sophisticated commercial proposals
Operational Style: Comfort operating in an asynchronous, on-chain-native environment
