Small Meetings Catering Sales Manager / Event Planner Full and Part-Time Positions Available Job Description The Holiday Inn Independence is seeking an experienced Catering Manager / Event Planner. This hotel features a conference center with 9 meeting rooms and 4 board rooms – rooms vary in size holding an average of 10-50 guests. The Small Meetings Manager would be responsible for booking for this area.

Primary Objectives

Booking and detailing catering functions

Arranging meeting room and banquet room setups, scheduling Audio Visual Equipment, arranging menu suggestions for both meeting and social events, and handling all aspects of setting up and executing the contract

Managing accounts to achieve guests' satisfaction

Major Areas Of Responsibilities

Working with various markets including social events as well as corporate business

Conduct site inspections and prepare proposals for prospective clients

Handle account details so all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are completed and documented

Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts

Requirements

Must have previous hotel catering experience

Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Previous Delphi experience a plus

Compensation Based On Experience Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications and will be discussed during the hiring process.
