Director, Data Program Manager
Infinite Roar, Chicago, IL, United States
Company description
Infinite Roar, Publicis Media's fastest-growing agency, is the new force in the media landscape. We are built for those clients looking to drive transformation, and we’ve created an approach especially tailored to the unique needs of disruptive, fast-growing brands. We combined the agility and personalized attention of a boutique agency with the unrivaled resources and expertise of a global powerhouse.
The Data, Tech, Analytics, Audience and Insights (DTAI) team at Infinite Roar is at the core of everything that we do. We empower all other teams through a relentless focus on data & transparency, and empower the creation of best‑of‑breed strategy, innovation and activation across Infinite Roar’s entire portfolio. This diverse team of data and marketing technology specialists have deep expertise in the ever‑changing universe of ad tech, data management, data‑driven marketing, and enables a data‑first strategy throughout our vast ecosystem of tools and capabilities, enabling automation and scale across our integrated media approach.
Overview As Infinite Roar continues to scale as the fastest-growing agency in Publicis Media, DTAI’s mandate is expanding in both complexity and ambition. We need a Director‑level operator and strategic thinker who can sit at the center of the department, connect dots across workstreams before others see them, and ensure DTAI’s vision translates into disciplined, measurable execution.
This role is built for someone who is equal parts strategist, operator, program leader, and communicator—with a builder’s mentality and the entrepreneurial instinct to look around corners. You’ll act as a force multiplier for the entire DTAI organization, driving operational rigor, accelerating cross‑functional delivery, and helping shape the department’s narrative both internally and across the agency.
This is not a role for someone who waits to be told what to do. This is a role for someone who figures it out.
Responsibilities Strategic Operations & Program Management
Own and drive DTAI’s operational cadence: planning cycles, OKR tracking, resource allocation, and cross-team prioritization.
Manage complex, multi-track initiatives from scoping through delivery—ensuring milestones, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations are locked in and tracked.
Build and maintain the department’s operating infrastructure: process documentation, workflow optimization, taxonomy development, and knowledge management systems.
Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies proactively; design and implement scalable solutions with a bias toward action.
Anticipate what’s next—surface risks, opportunities, and strategic pivots before they become urgent.
Cross‑Functional Coordination & Communications
Serve as DTAI’s connective tissue across the agency—coordinating with direct reports, internal stakeholders, partner teams, and Publicis Media shared services.
Draft, refine, and manage internal communications on behalf of DTAI leadership: status updates, org‑wide announcements, executive briefings, and client‑facing narratives.
Facilitate alignment between DTAI sub‑teams (Data, Technology, Audience, Analytics & Insights) to reduce friction and create shared visibility.
Own stakeholder management rhythms: recurring syncs, steering committees, and escalation protocols.
Translate departmental priorities into clear, compelling messaging tailored to the audience—whether that’s a C‑suite update or a team stand‑up.
Own partnership with Ops, Privacy & Governance, functioning as the de‑facto privacy and governance lead in partnership with the CDAO and CFO.
AI & Emerging Technology Enablement
Leverage AI tools (including LLMs and generative AI platforms) to accelerate workflows, automate reporting, and scale DTAI’s operational output.
Apply strong prompt engineering skills to extract maximum value from AI‑powered platforms—structuring inputs, iterating on outputs, and building repeatable AI‑assisted processes for the team.
Stay ahead of the curve on AI/ML applications in AdTech and MarTech; proactively identify where emerging tools can create competitive advantage for DTAI and the agency.
Serve as a practical evangelist for AI adoption within the team—demystifying the technology and helping colleagues integrate it into their day‑to‑day work.
Technical Fluency & Hands‑On Execution
Navigate DTAI’s technical landscape with enough depth to be a credible partner to engineers, analysts, and data scientists—without needing to be one.
Get hands‑on with taxonomy builds, data governance documentation, platform configurations, and QA workflows when the work demands it.
Translate technical complexity into clear, executive‑ready language for non‑technical stakeholders.
Stay current on AdTech/MarTech ecosystem trends and proactively surface implications for DTAI’s roadmap.
Department Growth & Team Enablement
Support the development of DTAI’s strategic narrative—both internally to the agency and externally for new business pursuits.
Contribute to team culture by creating structures that give people clarity, reduce noise, and let them focus on their highest‑value work.
Help onboard and integrate new team members with clear documentation, context‑setting, and process orientation.
Champion measurement and accountability: dashboards, reporting cadences, and a bias toward evidence‑based decision‑making.
Qualifications Must‑Haves
8–12 years of experience in some combination of operations, program/project management, strategy, or analytics roles—ideally within media, advertising, or marketing technology.
Startup experience or commensurate entrepreneurial experience strongly preferred—you’ve built something from scratch, operated without a playbook, and thrived in ambiguity.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive execution in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment with a “figureoutability” mindset.
Strong program management instincts: you naturally think in workstreams, dependencies, timelines, and risk mitigation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills—comfortable drafting executive‑level content as well as tactical team updates.
Technical fluency: you don’t need to write production code, but you can speak intelligently about data pipelines, APIs, tag management, audience platforms, and measurement frameworks.
Working knowledge of AI/LLM tools and prompt engineering—you’ve moved beyond casual use and understand how to structure prompts, chain outputs, and integrate AI into professional workflows.
Operational rigor: you enjoy building systems, defining taxonomy, writing SOPs, and creating order from complexity.
High EQ and stakeholder management skills—you can read a room, manage up and across, and build trust quickly.
Embody a can‑do attitude and Day 1 readiness—you show up ready to own it from the jump.
Nice‑to‑Haves
Experience in or adjacent to a Chief of Staff, Business Operations, or Strategy & Ops function.
Familiarity with Publicis Media or holding company agency structures.
Hands‑on experience with project management platforms (Asana, Monday, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.).
Exposure to data governance, identity resolution, clean rooms, or privacy frameworks.
Background in analytics or data science—even if you’ve since moved into an operational or strategic role.
