Role Summary
A strategic leader responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives across German public sector organizations, ensuring modernization of government services, infrastructure, and citizen engagement through innovative technology solutions. Purpose: To orchestrate the final implementation phase of the EU AI Act compliance framework and lead the transition toward AI-integrated public services by the August 2026 deadline. Leads a cross‑functional "Digital Excellence" unit consisting of 12 specialists in Data Science, Legal Tech, and UX Design. Reports To
Reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the State Secretary for Digitalization. Working Conditions
Travel Required: 15% Standard business hours with flexible start/end times; occasional evening events for political committees. Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk Ability to travel to Berlin/Brussels for 1-2 day summits
