Job Location: Remote IPG is seeking a strategic and data-driven Email Marketing Manager to lead and optimize our lifecycle communication programs across Email and SMS channels. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end customer communication lifecyclefrom acquisition and onboarding to engagement, retention, and renewalleveraging data and insights to drive revenue and improve customer experience. As we expand into SMS marketing, this role will play a key part in developing and launching SMS programs that complement our email strategy and enhance customer engagement across channels. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and operational excellence to deliver highly effective and personalized customer communications. Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle communication strategy across Email and SMS, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, cross-sell, retention, and renewal. Identify key customer journey moments where SMS can complement email to improve engagement and response rates. Develop integrated communication strategies that ensure the right message is delivered through the right channel at the right time. Campaign & Journey Management
Plan, build, and execute targeted email campaigns, automated lifecycle journeys, and SMS communications aligned with business goals. Manage campaign calendars and ensure coordinated messaging across channels. Work with marketing, product, and analytics teams to support integrated marketing initiatives. Data-Driven Marketing
Leverage customer data, segmentation, and behavioral insights to deliver personalized and targeted messaging across email and SMS. Partner with analytics and data teams to ensure accurate audience segmentation and effective targeting. Identify opportunities to increase revenue and engagement through data-driven campaigns. Performance Analysis & Reporting
Track and analyze performance metrics including deliverability, engagement, conversions, and revenue contribution across email and SMS. Build regular reports and dashboards to communicate results, insights, and optimization opportunities to stakeholders. Translate data into actionable recommendations to improve campaign and lifecycle performance. Testing & Optimization
Develop and manage a structured testing framework for email and SMS programs, including subject lines, messaging, timing, segmentation, and journey logic. Continuously optimize campaigns and automated journeys based on performance insights. Deliverability, Compliance & Best Practices
Ensure adherence to email and SMS compliance regulations, consent management, and messaging best practices. Monitor list health, opt-in/opt-out processes, and engagement levels across both channels. Maintain best practices for deliverability and customer communication preferences. Qualifications:
4-5 years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or CRM marketing Experience managing email campaigns and marketing automation platforms Experience with SMS marketing programs or mobile engagement channels Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive marketing performance Experience with customer segmentation, personalization, and lifecycle journey design Strong reporting and insights generation skills Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills Preferred Skills:
Experience with lifecycle marketing strategies (Email, SMS, Push, etc.) Familiarity with marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Braze, or similar tools Knowledge of email deliverability and SMS compliance regulations Experience building A/B testing frameworks and experimentation programs Familiarity with project management platforms like Monday.com, Jira or similar tools Experience: 5 years' email/CRM marketing, or relevant experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)
