Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN is a not-for-profit organisation that works at a regional level to achieve improved whole-of-system health care.
Our key objectives are to:
increase the efficiency and effectiveness of health services for patients—particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes, and
improve coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
Our PHN achieves this by working with local health care stakeholders and community to:
fund programs and services based on local health needs;
support primary health care professionals, like GPs, general practice staff and allied health professionals, to improve the care they provide to their patients;
support the development of a local sustainable health care workforce.
About the Role
You are responsible for delivering high-quality content, managing digital channels, and supporting data-informed communications across a range of internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Develop engaging content that resonates with target audiences across diverse communities.
Liaise with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to support communications needs across a range of projects and programs.
Publish content across a broad range of communications mediums including social media, EDMs, newsletters, internal communications, alerts, Annual Reports and printed resources.
Monitor and maintain corporate website with accurate and SEO-optimised content.
Monitor and report on communications performance across channels, using data to identify trends, evaluate effectiveness and proactively recommend improvements.
Capture photos and video at events to support storytelling and promotional content.
Provide day-to-day support within the Communications team, including but not limited to event management assistance, general project support, and producing regular reporting.
Selection Criteria
Professional
Tertiary qualifications in communication and marketing or related fields.
1 – 2 years’ experience in communications, marketing or a related field.
Strong knowledge of communications channels and approaches and the ability to develop engaging and accurate content.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is desired.
Agility
An excellent work ethic with the ability to be self‑motivated and self‑sufficient.
Ability to work without close supervision with excellent organisational skills and capability to meet deadlines while managing competing priorities.
Relationship building
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple external stakeholders and internal team members.
Excellent relationship management skills and professional conduct and attitude whilst maintaining confidentiality when required.
