We are seeking a highly organized and analytically minded content strategist and writer. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about content marketing and thought leadership, particularly within the financial services sector.
This role can be based out of New York City and will report to the lead editor.
How you will fulfill your potential
Create and Refine Content : Write timely, intelligent thought pieces for white papers, email, web and social that serves to elevate the brand, drive lead gen and engage and retain clients.
Maintain Brand Consistency : Adhere to brand guidelines, tone, voice, and messaging architecture to ensure consistency across all content.
Simplify Complex Topics : Translate complex financial concepts into engaging, accessible content for target audiences.
Promotion : Work with our promotions lead to initiate and develop comms/promotional plans for content campaigns and to draft engaging promotional copy for use across channels including web, social media, newsletter, email and more.
Research and Reference : Identify and cite credible sources for articles, white papers, and case studies. Develop relationships with private wealth advisors to deliver the most relevant content to clients and prospects.
Project Management : Navigate project management systems and collaborate with teams to meet deadlines and deliver high‑quality content.
Review and Compliance : Manage editorial, subject matter, and regulatory reviews to ensure content meets the highest standards.
Analysis and Measurement : Analyze content performance and integrate learnings into writing.
Experience & Skills We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in Communications, Journalism or English)
Excellent time management with the ability to manage multiple complex projects to completion. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
A fast learner and self‑starter that can work independently and proactively. Agile and can switch gears based on project prioritization.
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Journalism, English or Communications. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling narratives to diverse audiences. Proven copy writing and strong grammar and proofreading skills.
3+ years of experience in content marketing within a large financial institution. A proven track record of developing and executing digital content strategies across multiple channels including web, email, social and formats like video and audio.
Demonstrated expertise in content publishing processes, including rigorous legal and compliance reviews, within a regulated financial services environment.
Proficiency with analytics and ability to leverage data to measure content performance, optimization, and strategic decision-making. A practical, data‑driven mindset with an eagerness to learn and adapt.
Experience in using artificial intelligence in writing a plus.
Experience with ultra‑high net worth audiences a plus.
Strong interpersonal, matrixed team relationship management skills. Willing to work with stakeholders across the business at all seniority levels.
Personal commitment to accuracy, strong attention to detail and proactive risk management mindset. Experience in compliance‑driven environment.
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York United States based position is $85000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
