Addison Group is partnering with a purpose-driven organization working on large-scale global initiatives. This role sits within a collaborative communications function that supports program teams by delivering clear, cohesive messaging and high-quality content across a variety of platforms.
Job Description: The Communications Manager will play a key role in shaping and executing messaging across multiple initiatives. This person will balance strategic thinking with hands-on content creation, helping translate complex topics into clear, engaging materials while managing workflows and collaborating across teams in a fast-moving, remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute communications efforts that align with program and organizational priorities
Draft and edit a variety of materials including articles, email communications, reports, presentations, and website copy
Create structured messaging guidelines to ensure consistency across projects
Partner with internal teams including content, media, events, and program stakeholders
Oversee timelines, approvals, and content workflows using project management platforms
Support campaigns, virtual events, and storytelling initiatives from concept through execution
Ensure messaging consistency across multiple workstreams and contributors
Collaborate with creative and editorial partners to deliver polished, high-quality content
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in communications, editorial, journalism, or a related field
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear messaging
Experience developing and implementing communications strategies
Proven ability to manage projects and workflows using tools such as Asana or Monday.com
Experience working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities
Background in nonprofit, foundation, or mission-driven environments
Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced setting
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and deadlines
Contract position (anticipated April through October)
Fully remote role
Interview process includes a panel interview and submission of writing samples (3–5 pieces)
Background check required
