Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Manager, Competitive Intelligence – Neuroscience, located in Titusville, NJ.
Purpose
The Manager, Competitive Intelligence is responsible for generating, integrating and translating insights and analytics into growth opportunities and tactics that shape decisions and drive organizational action within Innovative Medicine Neuroscience business unit.
Responsibilities
Create & implement comprehensive business intelligence plans (including alerts, timelines, and competitive simulations) designed to communicate the impact of competitive and environmental insights on brand and franchise strategies and plans
Collect, analyze, archive, and report information by systematically using a variety of internal and external sources to support the CI needs of the organization
Design and execute search strategies for secondary sources to monitor business and clinical development environment.
Integrate competitive intelligence and primary research insights with analytical insights developed by peers across Strategic Insights & Analytics (forecasting, market research and integrated analytics) and translate these into business impact.
Lead competitive intelligence collection with field, acting as a key liaison and designing and managing processes to collect, interpret and deliver field intelligence to provide business insights and impact brand strategies.
Stay abreast of emerging healthcare & pharmaceutical industry trends and assess their potential impact on our business strategies.
Provide strategic input to help shape business plans and brand strategies across both new indications and established indications
Conduct research and competitive intelligence activities in a compliant manner
Act with speed, agility and accountability
Apply basic consulting skills, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, translation to value, and oral and written presentation for impact
Present complex issues in a clear and persuasive manner, effectively communicating recommendations to cross-functional teams and brand team
Take personal accountability for making Credo-based decisions and fostering a Credo-based culture
Qualifications / Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience in market research, business intelligence, marketing, sales, business analytics, strategic planning, or management consulting or 2-3 years with an advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, etc)
Demonstrated learning agility to be able to move across different types of markets such as primary care/retail or specialty markets.
Business/market experience and industry knowledge to influence franchise/brand level decisions and strategies are required
Experience working on or directly with pharmaceutical business units (commercial teams) (preferred)
Neuroscience therapeutic area experience is preferred
Experience working with external partners & leveraging syndicated reports
This position is based in Titusville, NJ and requires up to 20% travel, including some weekend travel
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $102,000 to $166,750.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
