Vehicle Technical Trainer (Contract Role) – Autonomous Mobility Company Location : Foster City, CA - Onsite Pay ranges : $45.00 - $55.00/hour Duration : 6 Month (With possible extension) Travel:
Up to 75% (U.S., includes overnight)
This role is responsible for delivering and managing technical training programs to ensure alignment on operational procedures, safety standards, and evolving practices—particularly within
electric vehicle (EV) and high-voltage systems . Key Responsibilities Assess training needs and develop programs aligned with operational goals Design and deliver training materials (lesson plans, presentations, job aids) Lead both
classroom and hands-on technical training sessions Manage end-to-end training programs (onboarding → ongoing development) Partner with cross-functional teams to standardize training content Ensure compliance with
safety, regulatory, and environmental standards Track training completion, evaluate effectiveness, and drive improvements Maintain accurate training records and reporting metrics Technical Focus Areas Electric Vehicles (EV) systems (DC/AC systems, batteries, inverters, charging) High-voltage safety and handling CAN diagnostics and troubleshooting Component-level repairs and tooling General automotive (ICE + EV) systems Qualifications 2–5 years of automotive, EV, or autonomous vehicle experience Strong knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems Experience delivering technical training to diverse audiences Excellent communication skills (technical → non-technical translation) Instructional design experience (training materials, guides, presentations) Proficiency with tools like Google Suite; familiarity with LMS, JIRA, SAP, etc. Preferred: ASE Certification AC609 Certification (or willingness to obtain) Working Conditions Hands-on training in shop, warehouse, and outdoor environments Ability to lift up to 50 lbs High travel requirement (up to 75%) Interview Process 30-minute Manager Interview (Zoom) 1.5-hour Panel Interview (Onsite required)
