This role offers a hybrid schedule and is near Rochester, MI.
What You Will Be Doing Lead regional initiatives related to HS code classification standardization and trade compliance for both manufactured and purchased goods, collaborating with global counterparts Serve as the primary authority on customs compliance across North American entities, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements Support site-level compliance with supply chain security programs (e.g., CTPAT), including coordination of customer inquiries and assessments Oversee and maintain trade compliance systems (e.g., GTS), including classification, origin determination, export controls, denied party screening, and embargo compliance Drive alignment with global logistics and trade initiatives, including packaging standardization, digital tools, and KPI reporting Act as the key point of contact between internal teams (legal, finance, operations) and external stakeholders such as customs brokers, consultants, and government agencies Build and maintain strong cross-functional and cross-regional relationships through various communication channels
What We Need From You To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills: Strong experience with SAP Experience working with customs brokers Experience moving equipment across the border (the logistics part of the job) Working knowledge of IMMEX requirements (Mexican customs)
