Loan Processor
Location: 12650 N. Featherwood Houston, TX 77034
In order to help Texas Bay Credit Union (TBCU) stand out as a leading financial institution the Loan Processor is responsible for ensuring that all indirect loans fulfill the essential documentation criteria. To achieve this objective the Loan Processor is tasked with maintaining consistent and timely communication with dealerships and applicants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Thoroughly review and validate all document information to ensure strict adherence to credit approvals, policies, and established credit union guidelines
Efficiently process E-Contracts received through RouteOne and Dealertrack channels
Accept and process contracts received from The Savings Group through Docu-Sign
Process Contracts received through Dropbox, e-mail and mail carriers
Promptly log all contracts received through any channel into MeridianLink
Generate loan applications within MeridianLink for CUAC, review loan packets, and proceed with the funding process.
Maintain a daily balance for CUAC invoices and CUAC General Ledger
Originate CUAC helpdesk tickets and follow-up on any outstanding application
Review and verify all contract documents for Lender Protection Loans, ensuring compliance with approvals, stipulations requested by LendPro, and certifying them within MeridianLink.
Conduct employment verifications, proof of income calculations, customer interviews, collect proof of residency, initiate collateral verification inquiries, and handle other investigative tasks as necessary
Provide assistance to members and non-members by answering inquiries, resolving disputes, coordinating loan details, and assisting with loan decisions
Proactively follow up on unfunded loans, reaching out to dealer staff and applicants through various communication channels, including phone, RouteOne, Dealertrack, email, and Eltropy
Continuously monitor incoming stipulations received through all communication channels to facilitate the funding process
Open new membership/savings account as needed
Process and perform accounting functions related to dealer payments and corrections to GL's
Provide necessary information to the underwriting staff that may affect loan decision and return information to the appropriate parties
Validate dealer compensation based on the specific product, and disburse funds accordingly
Process DNA maintenance on member profiles following the funding of each loan
Originate DNA-ACH transactions for Independent dealerships
Collaborate with Accounting department to verify ML & DNA ACH reports
Scan/upload booked loans into MeridianLink
Process Indirect daily reports efficiently and accurately
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Play an active part in helping credit union teams function smoothly and efficiently.
Stay alert to potential problems and propose changes to policies and programs.
Back-up other coworkers as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
As an employee of a "Essential Business" (as defined by Texas's Executive Order GA 14), employees are expected to continue to report to work as scheduled during state issued emergency declarations.
Comply with all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
Required Knowledge
A high school education or GED
One year to three years of similar or related experience
Extensive knowledge of all financial products and services
Completion of required training courses
Proficient in MS Office and computer skills
Required Abilities
Must be able to cope with pressure resulting from a constant flow of auto loan contracts and impatient dealerships.
Ability to analyze problems and complete necessary research to resolve them.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, kneel, talk, hear, and climb stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 10-15 pounds. This position requires viewing of computer monitor for extended lengths of time and travel to and from all credit union offices.
