Fabricated Parts Specialist

Essential Functions - Work directly with local and remote sales teams to review and provide detailed internal quote information for fabrication, including material yielding, labor expectations, and current lead times and capacities. Measures and seeks excellence in the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of fabricated parts quotes. - Responsible for CAD/CAM design and programming of CNC equipment as well as providing direction on manual machining and fabrication processes. Develop CAD Models within CAM program through importing/conversion of existing CAD Models OR through analyzing drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, finishes (i.e. edge quality), etc. Determine and program CAM software for the appropriate machining process, selection of cutting tools, machine speeds and feed rates. - Reading and Interpreting Documentation and Product Quality

Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, and parts lists. Studies and interprets assembly instructions, and verifies specifications. Conducts dimensional and visual part inspections to prints and specifications using standard quality assurance inspection equipment. Helps to develop inspection techniques. - Adhere to best operating practices to ensure operational performance goals are met; including Safety, Customer Service

Internal/External, Quality Control, Inventory Accuracy, and Manufacturing Efficiency. - Continuous Improvement

Participates actively in Continuous Improvement activities and submits ideas to help drive improvement. Engages with team on ideas to improve the process and provide a better buying experience to our customers. - Performs other duties as assigned. Core Competencies Detail Orientation Multi-Tasking Sense Of Urgency & Work Ethic Creativity and Innovation Communications Skills Qualifications Education Required High School or better. Experience Required Minimum of Five years CNC Setup, Servicing and Programming in a machine shop environment or Minimum 5 years in a Fabrication Environment where many processes are utilized to build assembled products. Able to operate more than one type of machine or utilize many fabrication techniques. Able to effectively communicate in both an oral and written manner.
